What does an apprenticeship involve?
A gas fitting apprenticeship takes 4 years of work and study.
Work:
- A full-time job from day one.
- On the job, you’ll be primarily responsible for installation, changeovers, maintenance, servicing, and repairs of a variety of gas appliances including cooktops, ovens, heaters, hot water systems and more.
- Fully supported by an experienced gas fitter who’ll show you the ropes.
Study:
- Some academic learning and exams.
- Enjoy practical training in our state-of-the-art facility.
- Our Apprentice Coordinator will guide you through all the admin including the onboarding process, enrolment and registration of your apprenticeship.
- At the end of your training, you do an external examination with the Victorian Building Authority to get registered as a gas fitter.
To enrol as an apprentice, you need a National Police check (organised and paid for by us) and a current Victorian driver’s license and car.
